This story is based on a time in my life when I was young, naive and tortured by an older cousin!!! Hahaha...and no, it is not a true story, most is made up.
As a child I spent much of my time at my cousin Melanies house. As I had said in the last story, we were close and saw each other often. Anyways, I would spend summers, weekends and anytime I was able to at her house. She had an older sister, Melody. We thought Melody was just so cool, we wanted to be just like her. I remember we followed her one time up the street to meet some stupid boy, we thought it was hilarious because we were yelling out his name, Tony, if I recall..hahaha.
Well, Melody would bribe Melanie and I so she could sneak out at night. She would tell us that we could play with her make-up and she would do make overs on us. Never failed, she always made us look like clowns and tell us we were beautiful! I know, funny now, but then it was kind of mean. So, one night she told us to stay in her room and act like she was there so she could sneak out.
We did as she had asked, but we fell asleep after about 2 hours. Her father came to check on us, and realized that Melody was no where to be found. Needless to say, she got locked out that night. Melanie and I did our thing the next day, played with our cabbage patch dolls, listened to NKOTB and played outside in the front yard. All the while Melody was in her room.
That next night Melanie and I knocked on Melody's door. She yelled at us, "Go away you jerks! I don't want to see your stupid clown faces."
"What is wrong with Melody?" I asked Melanie.
"She gets upset when she doesn't get her way and she always blames me, so now Alice, you are to blame as well." was Melanie's repsonse.
We didn't really care that Melody was mad at us, we just went about our awesome night of doing nothing that mattered. We played and had dinner, all the while, Melody was in her room pouting. That night as we prepared to sleep in our tent me made we could hear Melody in her room mumbling about something. It was hard to make out what she was saying and if she was even talking to anyone...but, we were curious, so we snuck into the hallway and placed our ears to her door.
She was talking about not leaving her room and how she hated us. Calling us clown faced jerks, and what not. We assumed she was talking on the phone, little did we know, she was talking to herself. We wondered back to our amazing tent in Melanie's room.
All of a sudden we woke up to the most shrill scream EVER!! We ran to Melody's room pushed the door open, and there stood the creepiest, tallest clowns we had ever seen. Thanks to this experience I fear all clowns, and will never be the same. Anyways, we say Melody on her bed, curled and hugging her pillow with fear in her eyes. We screamed for their parents and brother, Mathew. The clowns looked at us and began to speak, "Alice, Melanie, we are here to revenge you. As our sister clowns, we must make sure you will never be hurt by this person."
Mel and I just stood there and screamed, "WE AREN'T CLOWNS!!! SHE JUST LIKES TO CALL US THAT!!"
The clowns immediately fled out the window, we saw a bright flash and they were gone!
